Light Level sensor - slow linear response
Order no. 3120

Range: 0 - 1000 lux (Resolution: 1 Lux)
0 - 100% Transmission

This range is suitable for indoor use. It has a built in filter to smooth the flicker from fluorescent lights. This is the sensor to use for colorimeter and rate of reaction experiments and inverse square law experiments.

Light Level sensor - fast linear response
Order no. 3123

Range: 0 - 1000 lux (Resolution: 1 Lux)

This sensor has a fast linear response and can monitor rapid variations in light intensity. Suitable for fast logging only.

Light Level sensor - smoothed linear response
Order no. 3122

Range: 0 - 100,000 lux (Resolution: 30 Lux)

This wide range makes it ideal for environmental monitoring and use outdoors.

General info:
The photo diode is sensitive to light in the range from 350nm to 700nm. The sensor has built-in infra-red rejection filter, giving it a spectral response similar to that of the human eye.
